Cancellation and Refund Policies
Event cancellation
The UOAA reserves the right to cancel any event due to inclement weather or factors out of our control. In the event of an event cancellation, all registrants will be refunded their registration fees in full.
Refund Policy
Refunds of registration fees will be given for cancellations received 72-hours prior to the event, unless otherwise stated. Special circumstances will be taken into consideration. If the individual decides to not attend the event and would like the event cost to become a charitable contribution for tax purposes, the individual must notify the UOAA in writing that they will not be attending the event and that they wish to contribute the event cost as a charitable contribution. This notification must be made prior to the event.
Hotel and travel cancellations cannot be made through the Alumni Association of the University of Oregon, Inc. and you must contact the hotel or travel service separately for refunds.
Transferring event registration
For event registrants who cancel with less than 72-hours notice, the UOAA will honor the reigstration fees paid and may transfer event registration to a substitute attendee. This policy is at the discretion of the UOAA and may revoke this priviledge from individuals who abuse this offer.
Photo Release Policy
By registering for an event with the UOAA, you consent to the following statement:
I irrevocably grant the UO, UO Alumni Association and UO Advancement permission to publish, republish, adapt, exhibit, reproduce, modify, make derivative works, distribute, or display my name, image, voice, written testimony, and biographical information in connection with any university product or service. This permission applies to all markets and in any media or technology now known or hereafter developed. The university may exercise any of these rights itself or through any commercial or nonprofit successors, transferees, or licensees.
I waive any right to inspect or approve any work that bears my name, image, voice, written testimony, and biographical information.
All event attendees will have the opportunity to opt out of this photo policy during registration.
