UOAA Member Portal

We've compiled a list of the most common questions about our new member portal. Have a question of your own? Contact us so we can answer it for you and your fellow UOAA members.

Membership Renewals

If you are renewing your UOAA membership and you would like to pay by cash or check, select the "invoice" option at checkout, and send to the association office address listed at the bottom of the member portal. We highly recommend printing a copy of your invoice to send in with your payment, or including your invoice number on your check memo line.
To receive your UO Faculty/Staff membership rate discount, please contact our membership team with your UO 95-ID number. We will verify your employment with UO, and then contact you directly with the promo code you can apply at checkout. Discount stacking is not permitted.
Auto-paying members enjoy the ease of their membership automatically renewing every year, so you never need to worry about losing access to member rewards. In addition, auto-paying members receive $5 off their membership dues each year as a thank you for being special supporters of the UOAA. Securely sign up to auto-pay your membership by saving your preferred payment method and checking “Auto-Pay Future Membership Renewals” at checkout.

User Profiles

Unfortunately, our system only accepts one preferred class year. Users can change their preferred/affinity class year at any time through their profile information.
Your "Member Since" in your profile is for your current membership date, not how long you've been a member with the UOAA. For our Life Members, "Member Since" should reflect the year your Life Membership was purchased; for our Annual Members, "Member Since" will reflect the current year of your membership. We are working on a solution to recognize our longtime members by displaying your original join date and dedication to the UOAA.

Privacy and Security

Absolutely not. The UOAA will never share your personal information without first asking for your consent/opt-in, and we will always give you ways to opt-out. While we are not rolling out any member directories at this time, these privacy settings would control the information shared in a members-only digital directory so you could reconnect with classmates who have opted-in to share their information.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for the member portal is optional to members. We recommend turning this feature on for your member profile if you choose to save your payment method as an extra precaution. Association staff can help reset your MFA if it is not working.

Saved Payment Methods

Our member portal connections to our payment provider for processing credit card payments is fully PCI compliant. Additionally, the payment processor we use is fully PCI compliant.

Regardless of whether you choose to store a debit/credit card or ACH information, the association staff does not have access to the details of your payment information. The only information we can see is the type of payment method and the last four digits of the card or account.

For security purposes, our system does not allow association staff to add or delete a payment method for you; this is only available to members through your Member Compass.
No. Payment methods can only be saved to individual member profiles, not to household profiles. Payment methods cannot be "shared" across member accounts. That being said, multiple people can have the same card or bank info saved to their account. So if you and your spouse want to use the same bank account information, you can.

Joint Memberships

With our new member portal system, we had to adjust the internal structure of our joint memberships. In this new structure, we recognize joint members as being in a household together, and the joint membership is assigned to the household with two seats instead of being assigned directly to the two individuals. Everything else about our joint memberships remains the same: joint members must reside at the same address and be spouses/partners, and is limited to two people.
Whomever has the best discount! We offer an age-based discount for our wisest Ducks, similar to senior discounts you may receive elsewhere, and we offer discounts for our newest alumni. If your spouse or partner is the "wisest" of the two of you, use their birth year. If your spouse or partner is the most recent graduate from UO (including law, graduate school, and PhD degrees, or other certificate programs), use their graduation year.
We like to think of this tab as "the company you keep." In essence, it is your household's information for your joint membership. While helpful to have this information up to date, it's more important that each individual member keeps their profile information updated.
